Robot Wars Extreme Warriors

Robot Wars Extreme Warriors was an offshoot of the UK Robot Wars television series. The US television network 'The New TNN' (now Spike TV) contracted with Mentorn productions (the producers of the UK Robot Wars series) to create two seasons of robot combat programming with american competitors.

The first series was filmed June 2001 in England with about two dozen teams competing. The shows were filmed at the same time as the 'Robot Wars Extreme' series for distribution in the UK.

The second series had more than 50 US teams attending the UK filming in January, 2002. A short series of shows for the Nickelodeon network were filmed at the same time, with kids driving the robots.
